Furniture to suit your surroundings
Wooden garden furniture:
There are two main types: teak and exotic wood. Teak is particularly resistant to both water and sunlight. Harvested at the peak of its maturity to optimise its mechanical properties and durability, teak will bring a real sense of harmony to your garden! As for exotic wood – hard, durable and attractive – it will add a touch of exotic flair to your garden!
Metal garden furniture:
Add a touch of modernity to your garden by choosing metal garden furniture! Thanks to a painted finish or anodised coating, your garden furniture can easily withstand the elements! What’s more, an anti-corrosion treatment will protect the steel from rust.
Resin garden furniture:
As well as being lightweight and moisture-resistant, your garden furniture will be very easy to look after. However, don’t be surprised if you notice that coloured resin furniture fades slightly over time.
How to look after your garden furniture?
Teak garden furniture:
Teak has a particularly long lifespan and is especially resistant to temperature fluctuations. However, despite all these qualities, don’t be surprised if the wood of your garden furniture changes colour (to a silvery grey). Ideally, wash your garden furniture with water and Marseille soap. Here’s a handy tip to preserve the colour of your teak garden furniture: use a saturator designed for exotic woods! This way, no scrubbing, no darkening and no more moisture absorption!
Exotic wood garden furniture:
Have you just bought some exotic wood garden furniture? Here’s a tip: treat your garden furniture with a protective oil until the wood no longer absorbs it. Afterwards, to ensure your garden furniture retains its natural look and colour, sand it down with a very fine-grain abrasive. If your garden furniture has already lost some of its colour, don’t worry: simply apply a protective oil. Once it’s dry, repeat the process and polish the surface!
Metal garden furniture:
Even though metal looks hard and durable, you shouldn’t neglect its upkeep. How should you look after it? You can sand your garden furniture with steel wool or fine emery cloth, and to prevent rust, some anti-rust paint and soapy water will do the trick! Do you have a slight preference for aluminium? No problem – simply clean your garden furniture with lukewarm water and a sponge! That way, you can say goodbye to any black marks and corrosion!
Resin garden furniture:
Inexpensive and requiring little maintenance – has resin won you over? Be careful, though: if a sponge is no longer effective at removing dirt, use a specialised cleaner (such as Durieu’s Net-trol or a plastic renovator polish) and avoid any other products that might make the material porous!
